What advantages are their in seeing the forest from this angle that you would miss from the ground?

The main point of this tower is the information gained from the experiments taking place at the top of the tower. There are experiments taking place that measure the carbon output of the forest, the moisture taken in/out of the forest, the UVA rays experiment, the experiment involving wind, the experiment involving solar energy, and the experiment involving chemical analysis of the rain wter. All the data is sent directly to NASA in the D.C. area. Most of these experiments involve ways to better manage the forest. If you are interested in seeing these experiments, check out the next two videos.
